Autisme Rwanda is a pioneering NGO founded in 2014 in Kigali by Rosine D. Kamagaju who serves as Founder and Director.

Key Services:

Specialized education and individualized support for ~100 children/youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) annually (ages ~2.5–15).

Skill-building programs in communication, social behavior, and daily living.

Awareness, training, and advocacy to educate families, teachers, and communities.

Role Overview

The Director of Operations (also referred to as Director) oversees all organizational activities, ensuring effective administrative, financial, and technical management of ASD support programs.

Key Responsibilities

➢ Develop/implement strategic plans and action programs.
➢ Supervise assessments, interventions, and training.
➢ Coordinate technical, educational, and administrative teams.
➢ Manage finances, budgeting, and fundraising/resource mobilization.
➢ Build/maintain national and international partnerships.
➢ Represent the organization with authorities and partners.
➢ Ensure high-quality service delivery to beneficiaries.
➢ Prepare reports, proposals, and official documents.
➢ Organize trainings and awareness events.
➢ Monitor and evaluate program impact.

Key Skills

➢ Strong leadership and team management.
➢ Multitasking under pressure.
➢ Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
➢ Solid knowledge of ASD and adapted educational/therapeutic methods.
➢ Project management and fundraising expertise.

Required Profile

➢ Academic background in special education, psychology, health, or management.
➢ Proven experience in NGO or social project management.
➢ Initiative, innovative thinking, and strong personal commitment to the autism cause.
